Canada is awesome. Don't you love losing 60% of your income before you even get to spend it on anything else, including property, school and sales taxes?

It amazes me that Canada can survive when a significant portion of the country basically gets to keep about 25c for every 1$ they make. It's utterly insane. How has everyone making more than 75k not emigrated?

I live in Canada. Gov takes about 25% off each check. I'll go on EI this winter and take home $2000 a month. But I live on my family's land so its not that bad.

I just wish our dollar was stronger. And I really wish politicians would run on platforms where they wouldn't tax overtime.

I can't wait to see Max in the debates. The problem with the PPC at the moment though is Max is fixated on climate change denial and claims to hate identity politics but can't stop talking about it.

He should stick to the points everyone cares about, not this fringe shit.

>> No.15831533

I was watching a lot of his talks on YouTube while I was at work.

He doesn't deny climate change, he questions the scope of mankind's contribution towards it. Not any less controversial though.

I think the identity politics thing occurs when he is questioned why he wants to curb immigration numbers from 300,000 a year to 150,000, and take in more economic immigrants. In particular they nail him with the 'why would you dare not take RefUGees!!', he handles it pretty well in that he brings up the New York border crossing and says they aren't fleeing war if they're coming from fucking New York state.

Northern California is also nice, as are some parts of the east coast.

People meme on southern california but its worth visiting if you have the cash, some of the restaurants there are incredible. Definitely don't live there though, of course. Really most big states have a bunch of places that are really good and worth living in, you gotta remember these places have nation-sized populations so the wide amount of space and number of people generally makes a unique location from here to there. Problem of course being that along with most of America these spaces will not exist forever, give it a few more decades and they will fall as well.

you buy anti-depressants? if it works for you, that's great—but IF it's half-assed or makes you feel off, you may want to keep naltrexone, or rather, low-dose naltrexone in mind
extremely low-risk medicine with positive effects on depression
there's this article here:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0165032716304499
but also another one more relevant to general depression that i saw a little while ago (can't find now for some reason) that denoted efficacy in LDN's ability to lower the severity of one's depression
i only ever touch medicines that seem, in all documented accounts, to be of zero to near-zero risk; you might also be interested in noopept (a cheap-as-fuck medicine that i have found is very helpful for talking to people in addition to fucking off the feeling of being in an all-encompassing downward spiral) and the more pricey selank (haven't used personally, but am aware of many that claim it had the effect that noopept has on me)
regardless of anything, if you're happy, you're happy

clown alert
if this were capitalism, then building and forming private communities on undeveloped land would lead to much cheaper housing, and an easing on the percentage of people living in cities
if this were capitalism, i wouldn't have to buy medicine from fucking singapore that could easily be produced by someone living out of the mountains of british columbia and sold to me at a tiny fraction of the price
if this were capitalism, companies like eaton's that produced goods for private individuals that were of such quality that they're still around today would still be around and producing such goods in competition with other such companies, because practices like minimum wage wouldn't have devalued the dollar by forcing society to pretend that people who produce shit work and buy shit products are just as objectively valuable people as those who do work with integrity, and expect the same from others
this is not late-stage capitalism, because it isn't capitalism in the first place
it's
SOCIALISM

if this is a new revelation for you, then don't be ashamed—
i mean, just take a look at how many people vote for the NDP, or the liberals

pic related ties in with the pic in >>15833912; this is how easy getting a modern house for you and your family was in an era much, much more closely resembling free market capitalism than the socialist keynesian mess that we have now
the more free market capitalism there is, the more your life is on easy mode, the less time you're forced to spend working so that you'll still have money left over to have your own real life when the government mercilessly rips nearly half of your income away to throw at the half of the population that commit gang violence, do shit work (when they work) and compete for your and your youth's labour, rape women, and import their extended family to do all the same shit and vote for the government that imports them as a voting base

Relatively speaking? Yes, id rather live here than america or most of europe/anywehere else in the world. It helps that im in a more small rural area, not some vancouver/edmonton/toronto tier shithole. I have severe eczema, thankfully got on dupixent a new drug. If i lived in the states it would have cost me $30,000 for a year supply. Thankfully here it only cost me $1000 a year.
