from what i've heard, it's alive, though a lot of people who made it in the easier days before it became a meme now have their own agencies setting up other people's stores. which is a much easier middleman way of getting guaranteed money.

the fact that everyone is so mediocre in general means they have been killing DS due to the flood of inferior products and websites and ads, BUT if you can conceal this fact through quality and good writing it's still worthy.
