Is having a regular job actually worth it?

no

Depends on the alternatives you have at hand.

Sure if you don't mind letting what few social skills you actually have decay to the point where you can't even order your tendies at McDonald's and having life pass you by at a speed you never though imaginable until you're 10 years older and the realization of how inescapable the life you're beginning to is. I was a NEET for 5 years and I feel like just got out of prison.

Depends what you mean by worth it?

Obviously you'll get money in return for your time/labour - which can be used to pay for things like rent/food/hobbies so yeah that parts probably worth it.

There'll be a whole new social circle of people to hang out with. Worth it if you get on with them, probably not so much if you hate them or are some kind of autist with no social skills.

Depending on the job you'll likely get to play with tech/machinery that you'd otherwise have no hope in hell of affording. Worth if if you treat gaining experience as an investment. Might not pay off right now, but in 5 years you might be able to kill it at an interview for a better job because of all your skill/experience with a particular tech/machine.

Overall probably worth it, unless you do some sort of unskilled monotonous task.

If it gets you to financial independence then yes, it is worth it.

Focus on your end goals, 99% of people never start out at the top, you must start at the bottom and work your way up.

Best of luck anon!

i work full time and i can barely get by. Living in central european shithole tho but still i dont think this should be possible in 21. century. I pay more than half of my salary for rent. Only thing that keeps me alive is dreams about another world war. Fuck this world

It’s better than the alternative. Imagine how much you learnt from age 10-20. As you progress through work, you keep learning too. Don’t stunt your growth.

ignore all the neet faggots in on this board, its worth yes - to build up capital to start own business or if you want to neet comfily afterwards, i would not want to work my whole life thou, you should not do that anyway, maximize your salary, work a couple of years, retire

>rent is only $400/month
>make about $3000 monthly
>no debt or major expenses
>just keep investing 80% of my income into shitcoins and stocks
I really dont get why 40+hrs per week is the standard. I could easily get by and also save money by working half the amount of time I dedicate to my job

I actually do things and could easily see myself working over 40hrs/wk if I didn't have other obligations

But I also don't use a computer except sparingly, and that helps immensely. Jerbs come in all forms

Idk if you're still here but I already had a meme degree and eight years of retail experience before I became a NEET and some friends who run their own businesses who were willing to lie for me and say I worked with them to fill in the gap. Learn to code.

The benefits and discounts I get from my job are pure fucking gold.

Also the time off and the fact I like my job makes me inclined to say yes.
