Trademark and copyright become muddy when it comes to domains.

For example if you are using coca-cola.com and are selling cola products, then it's an obvious red flag and they can sue.

1) I leased a domain in the gadget space, it was very generic and previous owner was building drones and selling them on the site. He was featured on CNBC, CNN, Forbes and the rest of high-traffic sites. I checked before leasing. Very clean history and organic traffic around 200-400k a month according to Alexa. So it was easy to start driving sales, first month netted over $15-18k because I built the site in about 4 days and promoted it to friends but most of it was people visiting the site organically and buying.

2) I'm investing in commercial real estate in Arizona and Texas, never in California because if somebody doesn't pay it's a gruelling process to get them out. Commercial property is always a good investment because you know you can expect the same income from a company for at least good chunk of time before you worry.

Usually commercial tenants also take care of themselves and don't need much support.

Just bought 2 commercial units and leased them in Phoenix for a local storage company that doesn't require anything besides space at $14,000 a month per unit.

In Texas got a nice complex of small stores near the capitol, so its healthy income.

It was, it became gruesome and time consuming where I would need to from it as a company and start employing people. Also the lease became $14,000 a month after the first 6 months + Shopify fees. I didn't want to deal with it.

Maybe it would be but it's not. It all depends on what domain you have + what products you sell and at what margin.

I didn't sell toothbrushes to make 0.03$ of profit, I sold gadgets netting me 300$ of profit on average. That's per product. That includes phones, drones and other gadgets shipped via DHL direct to USA customers only. So you can see how quickly it adds up.

I had a local Washington company buy from my site around 50 drones to stock in their store, I need a big profit from that wholesale deal. Why because they found the website via Forbes.

Find the best domain possible, register on alexa.com or get an account on semrush.com and see the organic traffic numbers. Have a site ready to monetize the domain niche. Then launch, make sure you can do 20,000$ a month in next 6 months to pay the lease once the offer of 50$ a month expires so you break even and scale from there.

For example vest.com you can see it was featured on websites spanning back to the early 2000's, so its domain authority is through the roof. You could potentially develop that into a vest selling website similar to bobbleheads.com

Well like I previously mentioned, I was lucky with the fact that the domain already had a lot of history so I could just piggy back off of that.

And yeah writing content rich articles, just copying from already written blogs and then word spinning them also helped.

Then Facebook ads, that doubled everything I was already doing. If somebody searched up the domain, they'd get articles from Forbes so they'd immediately have that trust.
