Staking will reduce the amount in circulation as actors will be incentivised to stake in nodes. This will be one of the forces acting on the price, pushing it up due to the low supply and high demand. This is required for high value smart contracts to use LINK as the LINK staked will be a function of the value aforementioned; the higher the price, the bigger the contracts.
As there are ~14 decimal places, a single serg will eventually be the price of a latte (as stated in pg 88 of the WHITE paper). This allows for a very high market cap while keeping the divisible unit obtainable by most actors, allowing for staking rewards to be traded for the currency of choice in usable amounts.
This will be the main force pushing the price down. These forces will eventually reach an equilibrium as the actors need shelter, food, water and shiny things to stay sated.
