I am going to open a computer repair shop in Argentina and I am considering hiring my best friend to work with me, his former employers said he's a hard working guy, the problem is that he's a weed smoker and that makes me worry about his performance/commitment and arriving on time every day.

What's your opinion? (Both weed smoker anons and people who worked with weed smokers)

It means absolutely nothing. Imagine if you found out he drank alcohol? It would not phase you, you would think nothing of it.

He could show up to work late/still drunk from last night, etc - and you would fire him accordingly. It is no different here. If he fucks up, kick him to the curb, same if he drank too much and it affected his performance/commitment.
