Is it wiser to stake with a reputable node first? Or try my luck at running my own.
I am leaning towards using a service because the early days will be wild west like (where true fortunes are made) but I want to play the long game. Ill forgo the very early days with my own node and will use a service I suspect.

sooner then you think for enterprise grade. it has been discussed here recently so not much to say. think of these fundamental parts as a trickle down effect. first, only authorized nodes will work...as time goes on the rules will be less restrictive and you will finally be able to to sign up and stake if youre a normie. staking and rep will first be allowed for enterprise nodes and then trickle down just like i said. the "high quality node operators" sergey keeps talking about are all the logos you see on the website. theres a copy pasta out there somewhere that talks about this trickle down effect.
