is it true that Americans are brainwashed to cut all financial ties with their children at 18 and leave no inheritance?

>> No.15760336

depends. Whites sometimes do this, blacks do it before the kid is born, mexican kids live with their parents until their are like 30

Most people I know got help from their parents after college, until about 22-23. After that their parents got sick of them and kicked them out/stopped helping.

And everyone's parents are blowing all their money. They can't manage their own finances, never mind have something to will to their kids.

Can't have those little people building dynasties, that'd be improper.

Go hang out with an elderly person. See what targeted ads get thrown at a 90 year old via their direct tv or spam phone calls or mail. It’s a non stop barrage of banks trying to sell reverse mortgage deals. When you’re old, and your mental faculties are slipping, the vultures are ready.

No, But mine is charging me rent. I would say it's a good thing to do as you would get the same rate really if you had a roommate but it's not the same. There are actually downsides to paying your parents for a room in there house. I can't smoke/drink where as if I had a roommate I could. I can't bring home girls because my dad is always home and he's an old boomer. There some positives like I always get to eat dinner and my dad knows my habits so he usually knows I stay in my room for days at a time so he doesn't bother me.

You said "brainwashed" because you don't understand why. Why didn't you just ask why?

Americans did this in the mid/late 20th century because the economy was so good that you didnt need to rely on your parents. Nowadays Americans live with their parents in large numbers

Economy is still good but a much larger percent of the money is going to those that are already wealthy

Luckily though my dad is crypto smart and invested in btc, He owns a couple. I also got him to invest in chainlink so now he has a 2k stack and he bought at .60. Also I'm an only child so everything in his will is going to me when he passes. He has a truck and a car and has tons of silver saved up. I asked him if I should be silver and he said not to because he's going to give me his 2000oz of silver anyways.

the expectation is that you get your ass out the door as soon as possible to expand the family empire. your inheritance shouldn't be greater than your net worth when you receive it.

No, most Americans in their 20s probably still live with their parents. I didn't move out until I was 25
