So you guys realize that the Fed can't ever raise rates, right?

I'm not a /biz/nessman but its alarming to me that no one here seems to care about this or the implications

Sure they can, but why would they before we get some inflation going again?

Explain why you think the Fed can't raise rates ever and don't just say "think about it dude."

2008/2009 was a real shitty year tbbh

Of course they can, and they'll do it soon.
We are looking forward to the resulting crash.

Emm, because literally everything and everyone now owns an incalculable amount of debt courtesy of Banks?

What do you think will happen when the interest rates on all these bad loans goes up?

Remember the December hike of a measly 25 basis points that almost crashed the stock market in January? The economy is literally propped up by infinite liquidity. Any periods of growth in the last eight years was directly from QE. As soon as the liquidity faucet turned off, growth stopped.

The market has obviously hit a ceiling for all of 2016. We are at the peak of a bubble, NIRP is the only way to boost numbers for a little longer but ultimately just makes a bigger bubble.

The inflation target is a joke. Since 2008 M2 has more than tripled but we have not had a tripling of domestic prices. What is going on is that liquidity is just being pumped offshore in the form of interest payments to multinationals. We're literally being bled dry. This system won't hold up forever. Also with 19 trillion in federal debt, even just 1% increase in rates will cost the taxpayer hundreds of billions in interest

2008 will look like a walk in the park compared to what's coming

Yeah you're dumb. Why would the Fed raise the funds rate if real interest rates are already rising?
