I should add that in 2013 I didn't realise bitcoin was crypto. I saw /biz/ talking about trading it like a bunch of Korean gamblers, then shortly after I remember seeing dogecoin on here too, and thought that they both must just be online credits of some sort. Only actually learned everything I could about crypto in 2017

I have no memories of knowing bitcoin but I do remember trying to set up a wallet and mine xbt.
Later I found out that they are the same so pretty much since 2011 or so.

First heard of crypto in 2015

Bought 10 btc and then sold to buy safex

Sold my SAFEX for btc in 2019

I have now 0.8 btc

That is about 94% loss

What I did wrong?

OP: why do you want to know? Just making fun conversation? These are the three least interesting facts to learn about a random population of people, do you have some sort of motive or use for this information if I share it with you?

It's helpful to understand who the market participants are during this stage of the cycle. I started trading Bitcoin in 2014 and I'm noticing a lot of emotional patterns, particularly with the 2017+ crowd. It has been interesting to see how they digest certain narratives.
