Has anyone here tried counting cards?
I'm considering buying a book or online classes and then practice slot before I try it for real.

I think most casinos use several decks that are auto shuffled regularly, so it's probably not worth it anymore.

It's six decks or two at the ameristar in east chicago

I live in Vegas and counted cards for a bit.
Most tables are six decks. There are single deck tables but in order to counter card counting they deal the cards face down. The trick is to find a single deck table with no one on it and play 2-3 different seats. Because it’s your cards your obligated to looking at your cards essentially negating the card down rule.

Careful doing this. The hardest part about Counting cards is not being noticed by the pit boss. They will straight up tell you to flat bet or leave the casino. A good trick is to learn what pitboss doesn’t give a fuck and talk to him a bit, ask him what days he works etc. some pit bosses are hard asses and other don’t give a fuck about the casinos money. My general rule of thumb was Asian pit bosses usually licked casino boots and would always throw you out for cars counting so avoid doing it while an Asian pit boss is there.

Professional poker player here. Yes you can make money doing it, but there are several things you need to know before trying it. I don't do it for a number of reasons, but here we go.

Here is a brief explanation.
youtube.com/watch?v=r5jOhTtF6Mg

>It's a full time job. At least for the first year or two.
>You need a large bankroll to lower your risk to an acceptable level. Probably need 20k to get started.
>The 20k bankroll does not include living expenses.
>You are going to have to drive around the US going to different casinos.
>If you go to the same casino every day and count, they will kick you out eventually
>You will have to stay in some nasty motels to lower your expenses.
>You will have to pay $75 - $300 to pay for an online training service. This is required to start learning how to count QUICKLY.
>Do not bother with "books for beginners." you need a course to teach you how to start counting quickly
>Some casinos you can't play at because they have rules that removes all your advantage.

basically you need money and dedication. i just want to constantly be on the road for 1 or 2 years. poker, i can travel when i want, and don't have to worry about getting kicked out of a casino.

>>15739665

>> No.15739729

>>15739655
they could, but one of the reasons are, many blackjack novices think they are professionals. if you have a game with 6 decks, you let the idiots think they can beat the system. most DO NOT have the dedication and time to beat the system.

Any suggestions on a course? I'm will to take time to learn.

>> No.15739840

>>15739808
if you live near a couple casino's, you could start it out as a weekend thing. if you are really interested, you can try blackjack apprentice, but i'm not endorsing anyone, as i've never taken to the courses.

look around online and sign up for one that has lots of engagement (on youtube or twitter) and look for social media posts about them on youtube etc. the customers will tell you if it was worth it. look for one that is reasonably priced. do not pay some retard $500 to get started.

they should be 1 payment up front, then a monthly payment.

good luck

There are a lot of single deck blackjack tables in Las Vegas.

I live in Vegas and one of my friends does video surveillance. Part of their job is to learn to count, keep the count, and eject people who are counting. It’s really obvious what you are doing when your bets are going up every time the count is favorable. So learning, practicing, getting kicked out, all so you can get a 1.5% advantage really isn’t worth it. And remember, you have to keep count on top of playing perfect basic strategy to get that edge. Forget if you should hit 14 against a 9 in a six deck shoe? Poof, there goes your 1.5%. Not saying impossible, but at that point just get a real job, or trade options or shitcoins or something.

Vegas is your “final run” in counting cards. You make 100k at the smaller casinos around the country. Then you go to Vegas and bet big. You bet more until you get kicked out. All the big casinos are run by 2 companies. Once banned you are at one set, you go the last group and hopefully “retire” after some significant gains.

Course isn’t better. That guy is probably a scamming faggot. I have a lot of experience with counting cards. Taking a course isn’t going to magically make you a better counter. When it comes down to it, you’re still at the mercy of the cards, and the casino.

You can make money counting cards. You can lose money counting cards. Casinos can burn enough cards off the back of the deck to make your count worthless. Penetration is incredibly relevant, and some tables just aren’t gamable. Surveillance will notice you if you’re winning and playing greens. Surveillance may also notice you while you’re down and kick you out, thus ruining your odds. Other players walking in and out of the game will effect penetration, and will affect your odds. My advice, it’s not viable anymore. Most games are 6-5 now and dealers ruin your penn. Tread lightly.
