No it's just a crypto *suite* based on privacy.

The goal of the project is to provide a consistent privacy mechanism that backs a currency, DEX, and contracts. Such that you can transact securely, do business privately, etc.

Also their marketing strat is pretty genius. They're approaching the African market with a 'rip and replace national fiat' strategy - basically offering the deflationary nature of crypto to push wealth into developing nations for epic win-win. We investors get to put our money in developing economies for gains, and the nations that adopt apollo get a disproportionate fraction of the total wealth redistribution as fiats die by being early adopters :D
