Say you buy a bread route, lets use peperidge Farm as an example. You buy a territory that has grocery and convince stores, in them.

You then have the rights to sell the product in that route and no one else can infringe on it.

You may have 5-10 grocery stores, and for each loaf sold, you make 18%-20% depending on the company.

When you buy bread, hotdog buns, hamburger ect, even private label stuff like Walmart or grovery store bread is brought in by an independent distributor, and they make commission on every loaf sold.

It is not just bread. There are many grocery store routes for sale.
So basically, you by a route, or get financing for one.


I guarantee you there are many routes available in your area if you are American as people are always retiring or getting into different business.
