People were prosecuted as a result of the findings in the Mueller report. He brought indictments against those people because it was proven they committed crimes (tax evasion and mismatched statements). If he could raise charges on those people then why not Trump?
Answer that? I'll wait.

Indeterminate, but the fact that he's the president is a factor, as is the OLC judgement.
>Answer that? I'll wait.
unjustified smugness, all I said is Mueller did not exonerate him, you haven't disproven that. Instead you've talked about the job of a prosecutor and the role of the criminal justice system.

>that isn't how criminal justice works. A person is innocent until proven guilty. The prosecutor has the obligation of proving a person committed a crime, not the inverse.

You seem to think we're in some sort of ebin flame war, where we try to score points. All I care about is accuracy, and S&P 3500.

Bullshit. He explicitly stated that the olc was not a factor in deciding.
So I'll ask again. If he could raise charges against other people, why didn't he raise any against Trump? Even easier question, why was it that nobody around Trump was hit with an indictment for Russian election meddling?
I'll wait.

>In the United States, aspecial counsel(formerly calledspecial prosecutororindependent counsel) is alawyerappointed toinvestigate, and potentiallyprosecute, a particular case of suspected wrongdoing for which aconflict of interestexists for the usual prosecuting authority. >We did not reach a determines as to where the president had committed a crime
So let's recap.
>Robert Mueller is the PROSECUTOR in charge of investigating the Russia election meddling
>He brings indictments against several Russians for this very thing
>He brings indictments against Trump associates for unrelated crimes uncovered during the investigation proving he has prosecutorial power
>He doesn't bring charges against Trump and reasons it with something that makes zero legal sense to anyone with even a beginner level understanding of law and explicitly says that it isn't correct to say "we didn't prosecute because of the olc" because they didn't prosecute because "they couldn't prove whether he committed a crime". Which as a prosecutor leaves the defendant innocent.
It's literally in the name. Prosecutor. They prosecute. He's not an exonerator and that was never his job.
Can you at least answer why no Americans were prosecuted for election meddling?

If you are not proven guilty, you are innocent.
If there are no charges placed against you, you can't be proven guilty to begin with.
Therefore Trump is innocent as she hasn't been proven guilty of the crime he was never accused prosecuted for.

Generally not unless the stock in question is trading so bullish at the time that it instantly bounces back up from the ex dividend day drop. For dividend portfolio the usual way to do it is to pick only the strongest most stable blue chips stocks likely to be around for decades to come, cost average in, hold, reinvest your dividends with drip.

It depends on how good you are at trading. I go back and forth on this, usually depending on whether or not my most recent trades were profitable or losses ya know. The fact of the matter is, and this is quite conclusively proven mind you, that beating the index is very hard and few manage to do it for any length of time.

Disclaimer that I am coming off a series of horrific trades and substantial loss so I'm at max skepticism about the value of trying to beat the index.

I've done so already with my bank advisor at CIBC. She suggested that since I'm new that I could start a small amount in a TSFA to play around with and get comfortable with markets while I let my balanced growth mutual fund grow with monthly contributions. I agreed, since I do have time on my side still. But I want to expand my horizons. I've dedicated 20 per cent of my monthly income to investing, then 10 per cent into regular savings, so I'm in a good spot financially even if I'm living off beans and coffee for the next 3-5 years.

If I'm pumping cash into the companies on my own in my unmanaged portfolio, I wouldn't have MERs, not even annual account fees since it's TSFA. But what should I be looking for? I'm hesitant to go with the big blue chip CAD stocks because they're well into the 50-100$ price range, which I obviously cannot buy massive amounts in right now. I know of DRIPs and how useful they are, but I'm at the very start of it all and I know the DRIPs don't mean shit unless I have enough shares to buy even at least one more share off of the dividend pay out.

I just haven't seen anything positive surrounding that stock besides "they have juul" which i find irrelavant because most people that vape don't even vape with juul.. then the whole "but people smoke" arguement has been going on since the start of that company.. and yes that arguement was even going on when it was up at $70-$80

It may be a buy evenutally.. i just think with all the negative news with a 76billion dollar market is a tough one to catch... watch as institutional ownership grows on the downtrend and short interest grow at same time... if it's a good stock they aren't done accumulation to many retail still think its bullish and are still holding on (like you) they'll want to flush people out then move it sideways to get stubburn people out before it moves out.. during that time they'll be collecting a dividend and interest on the shares they loaned out while selling calls on the remainder..

alright alright alright, what's the plan today? Carnival Corp. (CCL) reporting earnings in a sec, already down 1.4% on low vol, if it beats will see a 5% pop max, lots of willing sellers, imo, if it misses - who knows because of all the industry sentiment lately etc. Will be watching as a hawk, could go either way.
