Ubisoft and Ultra is already signed and details the development of the Ultra ecosystem for the benefit of Ubisoft. They are screaming they want to take on steam but I think they will instead replace the current Uplay distribution platform which if you ever tried it is fucking shit. Good on them for acknowledging that their product is shit and ask other veterans of this industry to build a platform all from scratch.

In my eyes it is important to have competitors. What do you think would be the world without competitors? Imagine only one Phone brand. Only one car brand. People then need to "eat" what they get and cant choose.
I think its a good step to create new projects which are different than the big ones.
Of course beating steam is too hard but getting even a small part of that pie are good steps for a project. I like what they are doing and i am also supporting them.
