You're criticizing summarized ideals/goals. Don't confuse yourself for being intelligent or "realistic" by doing that.

What most people struggle with, when it comes to achieving most things, is a lack of planning and a lack of focus. This leads to a lack of persistence in working towards an achievement. And I speak from my own experience when I state that.

Criticizing aspects of a plan (which is hard to make), or criticizing someone's level of focus (which can be hard to maintain), is where criticism can become useful.

Disliking the idea of someone wanting to talk to people, using 4chan, while they live in the country, is more you disliking that lifestyle (and that's not to say you're wrong, btw), rather than it being "meaningful criticism".
