>200,000 medical school debt
>still in school, contributing nothing to household income
>used my wife's and my life savings to buy 3 BTC @ ~$9.6K each, a $5000 mining rig, and a $9000 bleeding alt bag
>am shamelessly dumping each and every one of her weekly paychecks into more crypto material

Not sure if genius or retarded

Definitely retarded if this represents your liquid net worth.

Crypto is where you come to gamble some spare income, not your core assets.

My thinking was that there will never be a better time to lose everything. even if everything goes up in flames, i can absorb the hit and move on with my life pretty much completely unaffected in terms of my day to day experience. On the other hand, if it goes to the moon, I will be a fucking millionaire. The risk-to-benefit ratio is pretty darn asymmetrical.

Also, I have learned to basically never trust boomer financial advice. they would have me keep my live savings in negative yielding bonds and 401K right now LMAO. that is way fucking stupider if you ask me.

THE BIGGEST PROFITS ARE ALWAYS IN THE LEGAL GRAY AREAS AND THE SHADOWS THAT MOST PEOPLE DO NOT DARE TO EXPLORE

What do you pay for power? I doubt that mining rig was worth the money.

Btc is just a meme anyways. Hope she doesn't divorce you.

So taking out a $5000 payday loan to buy ETH was a mistake?

I live in chilly af New England. The electricity is not cheap @ 16 cents per kWh, however the rig also doubles as the heater of my small apartment (which is normally heated by propane, which we pay separately for)...The propane bill is > $200 /month in the coldest winter months, so this is a huge built-in value that almost entirely negates the mining cost. That said, even if we don't factor those savings and I just sold the coins immediately upon mining them, I would make about $5 per day NET PROFIT. However, I will not be selling any coins. I will be hoarding them and selling them all at the top of the next ETH blow off top, thus paying off all expenses and making a handsome profit all in one swoop.

I'm 26.
Not in "college."
I'm in medical school, which is considered a graduate school in America.
To become a doctor in America, you need to do 4 years after high school, 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school (which I am about to finish now), and then 3-7 years of residency +/- 1-3 years of fellowships depending on what you want to specialize / sub-specialize in...We are over-educated. Other countries do 5 years after highschool and that's it.
