>Make permissioned dlt obsolete
no, just no. Permissionless dlt could profit as much from LINK as permissioned but in an economy where late Boomer will dominate industries for the next 20 years, permissionless dlt has no chance, the least legacy dlt like Buttcoin as clones, Gen2 communist chains like eth and eos and those that are built upon cross chaining legacy dlt

I don't think you quite realize what mixicles are about.
It's not just Chainlink oracles + enclaves anymore.

>a dlt where anybody with some rupees can put child porn on the ledger
That's exactly what mixicles address.
It's basically about keeping the actual content of the contract off-chain, while still using the public chain for basic payment processing.
Because the more public a chain is, the more trustless it is.

To give you an idea of the level Chainlink is operating at:
Until now, enclaves were considered the number 1 line of defense against things like Sybil attacks.
So Chainlink acquiring TownCrier was a massive move.
And now, with mixicles, instead of milking enclaves as one of their main claims to fame, they completely disregarded them and came up with a new security solution that's entirely independent of enclaves.
A solution that's specifically geared towards mainstream finance with its security and compliance features. (the Mixicle white paper specifically states things like derivatives)

Also, here's what's becoming increasingly clear to me:
Everyone thinks that Chainlink nodes are all about inserting API data into blockchain, but the truth is that this is only a small part of jobs available to Chainlink nodes.
With oracle-based computations like threshold sigs, mixicles, reputation/aggregation/order-matching contracts etc., a massive amount of work is going to be done by Chainlink nodes for other Chainlink nodes.
