They do have a relationship to you. Or at least a (((relationship))).
Probably somewhere during the onboarding process the wagies were probably handed a paper copy of a copy with a huge block of barely readable text titled something like “Payroll Direct Deposit Authorization”. Signing it is a condition of employment as they no longer do paper checks. Somewhere buried in it is a clause about being able to both credit and debit your bank account in the event of a mistake. A hook nose lawyer wrote it, so it didn’t use language that direct.

I once worked at a rubber plantation in Liberia. They told me they didn’t want to put payroll on an ERP system because if it ever went down the employees would set the building on fire. They paid in cash and bags of rice.

>Unfortunately, the banking system is set up such that you can wire money in both directions so long as you know the right numbers
That's a shit explanation, in fact, that's no explanation at all. "Know the right numbers"? What numbers are those?

>The Clifton Park payroll-processing company went out of business suddenly on Thursday, and an out-of-state bank it worked with auto-withdrew paychecks once and sometimes twice last week from the bank accounts of employees who received direct deposits from MyPayrollHR's approximately 4,000 clients nationwide
It sounds like it wasn't the dumbass payroll company, but a kike bank taking from their former customers to collect on their bankruptcy debt. But of course the bank's identity goes unpublished and it's the former workers at the closed down company who will get the death threats. Day of the necktie when?

Nobody said it was legal. Its a problem that's inherent in how the system is designed. Kinda like how if you leave your front door open at night then Tyrone and Methhead Magoo can walk in and steal your TV. Not legal, but you leaving your front door open isn't helping.

>>15542033
You should know what the numbers are if you have ever signed up for direct deposit, have written a check, or wired money. If you've done any of those things and legitimately dont know what account and routing numbers are then you probably shouldn't be trusted to handle money and you should inquire about having your transaction history audited for your own sake.

They were always patrolling the city for nodes that churned out "dangerous" broadcasts. We had enough NEETS scurrying around to keep them busy at all hours. Swap a repeater out from the top of a streetlamp and back underneath a nearby robotaxi. Receive payment instantly via smart contract once it reached the designated coordinates for switchover. Each gig barely paid on its own but you could crank out a few dozen in no time and watch all of the tiny transactions flood in at once. Not to mention, all that running and climbing around the city worked wonders for staying in shape. Just to be clear: when I say NEET, I mean just about anyone who didn’t have a multiyear contract locked in with one of the mega corps. In fact, there was such a large pool of day-jobbers in the city picking up gigs and dispensing to virtual LLC’s that it wasn’t worth the effort to crack down on each one. As soon as you tried to tax one entity it would dissolve into three more. Despite this, it felt like the mega corps kept all the best jobs, which is to say: all the jobs that paid decent without requiring you to interact with other people. Then they started to outsource with androids, because the AI meant even less maintenance, and you could land one of those gigs again. All you had to do was fail the Voight Kompf on purpose and you were in. That’s how I got my job as a lighthouse operator. They were watching the city all night long and yet here I was spinning a node right over their heads.

Could somebody with more knowledge about third party payroll companies explain this to me:

1) I understand the money was taken from direct deposit workers accounts
(a) where did this money get credited too?
2) Does the employeer who uses this third party payment service give them the lump sum of their employees payroll from their accounts?
(b) if so, did the money go back to the employers?
(3) if not is it possible for the third party payment processor to just debit that money and send it to any fucking account they want?

Yes they can. They legally can't, but they literally can. When someone knows the necessary numbers associated to an account, they can both send someone money (giving you your paycheck) and take money out. The only real failsafe is that some banks will ask you if you own the account that you are transfer information for. If you say you are not the owner, they'll block withdrawal, but allow you to deposit. But that's only if you say no, and only if they bother asking, otherwise you can do whatever.
As a fun test, try giving your banking info to a friend and tell them to try to send five dollars from their account to your account. Then ask them to take that same five dollars out so that it goes back to their account and watch the magic happen. Lastly, spend the next week hoping your friend is actually your friend and doesn't take it beyond five dollars.
It's so weird that you people don't already know this.
