Why is /biz/ so focused on crypto instead of more traditional investment options like stocks or real estate or bonds?

Younger audience means a higher propensity to be interested in more volatile investment vehicles
Why the hell would I invest in 2% CD's or 6% dividend ETF's if I have a time horizon of 50 years

Because they're still young enough to believe in easy unearned wealth.

Because they're young and think they have to have a large stake to invest in stocks.

Because no one taught them the importance of proper investing.

or, ya know, starting a fucking /BIZ/NESS.

this place sucks, the real money is in creating businesses for yourself but every edgy faggot on here just wants to swing trade and hope they make it. businesses give you income, investing/trading allows you to (potentially) grow your money. one is like a parking spot, the other is like owning the lot.

compared to the 400 crypto threads? lmao, retard. I've been on /biz/ since day one, have you? By and large, the dominant mindset is not entrepreneurial or business orientated, it's centered around trading.

what a shitpost, i shouldn't have even honored you with a reply

Traditional investments are a part of the old world order.

The new world is primarily virtual and geared for an, initially gloabal, but ultimately interstellar civilisation.

The base idea of memes and the imageboard concept are to transcend language barriers, which inhibit comprehension and therefore involvement by many people.

Consider that of all native speakers, many have a very limited vocabulary and so are excluded from discussion that uses words they are unfamiliar with.

This is an experimental way freemasonry has tried to bridge that gap.

This is correct but they overlook the fact that this is entirely possible on the stock market with options trading.

Obviously the vast majority of those threads are pajeet shitcoin threads with their main posting body consisting of telegram or discord trannies. Either you have an IQ under 100 to not see this or you're being willfully ignorant of it. Either that or you're LARPing about being here that long.

Obviously people are going to flock toward the thing with the highest rate of return for the lowest effort. Why would someone make a business to work over 12 hours a day on when they can simply wagecuck and put it all into LINK and outperform not only the statistical probability of success but also require no effort aside from research? As for trading most people talk about the actual usage behind the coin or simply shitposting. The only posts about trading are usually mocked by everyone else

Broke ass neets that think they will never have to grow up if they just put their disposable income in the right coin.

This is one of the most toxic and useless comunities there is in the internet.

there's always threads about starting a business and/or alternative income sources (i.e. dropshipping), because one can get bigger gains and afford to take more risks if they have a source of income, literally 1 + 1 = 2

>> No.15530046

also, some people may feel that they have more control over their investment with crypto
If they shill well they could get many people to invest in their coins, which worked in late 2017 when people had a high risk tolerance
At one point KCS referral threads made up 10% of the threads on /biz/

I'm not arguing whether their pajeets or trannies, I'm arguing that the dominant threads are not orientated towards creating business.. This is the arguement, remember? Are you actually retarded?

>Obviously people are going to flock toward the thing with the highest rate of return for the lowest effort.
Crypto has the **potential** for the highest rate of return, but omitting risk is silly. Also, how long are you gonna wait? A year? A business can be generated and grown 10x that within that timeframe.. I understand the potential for returns here, to be clear (I bought NANO when it was still called RaiBlocks and only on one exchange - I made 30x on that trade).

>Why would someone make a business to work over 12 hours
Cherry picked silly example. Just take service arbitrage, for example. It's like no work and very scalable. If your business model involves you working that much regularly, you're just a wageslave again. I mean yeah, when starting out you may have to pull weeks like that for awhile, but.. /shrug.

Also: you're disparaging the idea of starting a business while also claiming /biz/ is supportive of this idea, do you see the irony? I'm not claiming crypto is dumb, I'm claiming /biz/ is disportionately focused on crypto.

>>15530023
>always
no, even if this was the case, I'm saying that the ratio of biz threads to crypto is bad, imo.

>one can get bigger gains and afford to take more risks if they have a source of income
Yes, duh, that's why I'm advocating increased discussion on business discussion, to increase income, like I said in my post.. retard.

I’ve been in stocks for 10 years or so. Made some pretty good trades like Boeing when Trump won and held to October. When I got into BTC at 600 dollars and made 10k seemingly overnight then bought more I couldn’t fucking believe the ROI I was getting. It was a gold rush and there was billions to be made. Now I think there will be a few coins which moon relatively and it’s better than pink sheets for sure. Just treat crypto (like RSR) like a high risk investment that you expect to lose and play it for fun. I did pretty well so far and the wave is nearly over but there’s still an unreasonable amount of money to be made.
