BitGreen mainnet launched in January
2018 as Bitcoin Green; a community-driven
initiative to build an energy-efficient
alternative to Bitcoin aimed at reducing the
immense energy being consumed by
proof-of-work mining across the world.
Since then, we have built a thriving
community focused on using blockchain to
incentivize sustainability by rewarding
energy-efficient and “green” behaviors.
