/biz/ is so late.
End of May was an interesting time to be opening longs on silver.
The beginning of August when it broke past its 200 SMA was also an interesting time to be opening longs on silver.
It may still have some upside, but late entries need to be more careful.
$20 may present some resistance.

That doesn't help your case. It was in a totally bearish posture in 2015, and its mini bullish retracement only lasted 6 months only to resume a bearish downtrend for 3 years until now.

Bullish shilling towards then end of May 2019 is very respectable due to the 1w bullish divergence that formed, but before that? It's irresponsible.

I have no short term forecast. If you're buying to hold long term then I'd say it's a great hold. I'm willing to say that I currently hold over $100k worth. I won't say exact numbers but it's a decent amount. And I am far down on my monero investment because I bought at a price much higher than the current price. I spent several hundred thousand dollars on monero when I was accumulating like a year and a half ago.

So yes I've lost a whole lot, several hundred thousand dollars in value, but that doesn't concern me in the least because of what I see monero being worth in the future. I'm so sure of it that I bet several hundred thousand on it.

I agree that bitcoin will be exponentially higher than it is now and this is a great time to buy. Just for different reasons than monero. And yes I also hold a decent enough amount of bitcoin.

I've been researching cryptocurrencies for many years and been invested for many years. I was actually into cryptography before the bitcoin whitepaper was even released. So yes I was able to get into bitcoin fairly early. I still haven't sold or traded a single bitcoin though. Partly because there was no tax guidelines back then and I knew the gov would eventually want their cut and I didn't want to fuck up my taxes by getting involved in trading.

I will follow all ta guidelines and pay my full taxes whenever I do cash out some or trade some crypto but I plan to hold for a long while longer because I have funds to continue happily living without dipping into my crypto stash.

That would just create an additional taxable event for me which is why I will only buy silver when a reputable silver exchange accepts monero directly. I got my bitcoin pretty cheap so I hate to spend or use any because I have to pay high taxes. If I convert some xmr to btc then use btc to buy silver then I have to pay taxes on the xmr to btc trade and then i also have to pay very high taxes on the btc to silver trade. I rather not but silver than pay such high taxes. So I'd love to just buy silver with xmr and have a single taxable event.

Folks can disagree with me here if they want to, but I really like bars. I specifically buy all of mine from the Texas Mint. The Texas Mint is owned by Texas Precious Metals, who are the operator of the state owned Texas State Bullion Depository. I like to think it's the closest thing to lending legitimacy to my bars in the manner of eagles. Worst case scenario if that isn't the case, I'm being patriotic and supporting a Texas business. The mint is in Shiner, TX, and you can pick your stuff up in person if you like, and cruise over to the Shiner brewery afterwards.

I like lots of Yee with my haw, plus we had a bill that didn't make it in 17' to accept gold and silver as legal tender here, I like to think there is a bit of preparation under way to hedge our state against the economy in such a way, and that in some Texit scenario in the future our currency would be made by said mint.
