Guys, I'm working out a deal to have hardwood lumber supplied to some shithole in Canada but these assholes are insisting on humidity control.

How the fuck do I get a trailer that maintains at least 50% humidity?!

FUCK THOSE CUNTS

Doesn't Canada have wood? I thought there were lots of trees there.

>> No.15481384

humidity control? for what purpose? railroads ship lumber literally uncovered and it sits outside in rain, snow, whatever. although maybe it varies by type of wood.

Canada has lots of pulpwood, and softwood. The deciduous trees get frostcrack further north, so not much hardwood.

Possibly to protect against warping? They were likely burned in the past with shit wood that was dumped on them.

If you can personally validate the wood as a reliable resource, I say go for it. They don't want to waste time and money verifying your sale. They just want to get the project done.

Isn't that why you heat treat it? I've always just shipped lumber on a flatbed, not sure why or how you would put that shit into an enclosed trailer.
