Trump is systematically dismantling the status quo of all these global powers to the extent that the media is unironically shilling for an economic recession in a desperate attempt to crash voter sentiment before the next election. Muh Russia failed, assasination attempts failed, they have no other choice. Trump could probably kick off a financial reset if he really wanted to but right now because the US is better poised than EU, Canada, and especially China he is deliberately slow walking all of this to maximize the opportunity for US. China’s recent currency devaluation signaled that they believe they can outlast Trump atleast until the next election. If they can’t outlast him they will be forced to either a) play by the rules for the first time in decades, and lose. Or b) declare openly that they are aggressive against US, and lose. Trump is forcing their hand so that they absolutely cannot get away with their usual bugman soft power plays. There has been an enormous struggle unfolding atop Mt.Olympus since 2016 and I believe we are about to reach the tipping point, my guess is that it will be in favor of the US and its allies.

Suddenly companies either would have to deal with higher American labor standards which would cause inflation or they'd have to cut off consumer goods entirely. China and Europe are still big destinations of American exports and China has a huge growing consumer population as well as growing control over foreign markets.
I'd agree that America is most poised to get the least fucked but that could still be catastrophic especially if the fiat fails, the US would lose its main way of controlling recessions and inflation. Even a global crash the includes everyone except the US would cause lower wages everywhere and suddenly a massive drop in demand for American goods and services which are typically higher quality. America could lower standards but they'd be competing with third world shitholes to produce cheap junk. Simply put if America try's to cut itself off it gets fucked and if it stays connected it gets fucked, maybe the least fucked but still fucked.
I'm not trying to reject what you're saying I think I mostly agree with it but America isnt necessarily in the position where it can just say fuck everyone else and go on it's own.
If anything typical American consumerism is the main thing keeping the US reliant on the global system.
