So what? The difficulty adjusts, remaining miners continue to make money, Bitcoin blockchain remains secure.

The average cost to mine 1BTC at the current reward level is around $2500. They're literally making a 4X return. After the halvening, they'll only be making a 2X return. Poor miners, only doubling their money, how will they ever survive.
