We’re trading above 2$ yet this time last year it was below $0.30.

Meager hype around the project paired with bitcoin going up in price again.
Old ATH was built off of BTC as well. Link crashed 2 dollars because it didn't live up to its immediate hype AND btc went back down to 10k. Last night's rise to 2.30 coincided with btc, its following drop also coincided with btc.
I'm all in link but it's still attached to bitcoin. It corrected in accordance to btc, it then plummeted alongside btc.
It'll take big fucking news AND btc to stop shitting the bed for big ups.

Yep, USD is what matters in the end. But right now the USD value is fickle because Link can be flat, but if BTC goes down 10% link automatically does too, yet in reality, links performance is still flat. it gives a false impression.
Im only talking about tracking its performance, not on any tangible use in investment.
So if it pumps in satoshi value by 10%, but BTC dumps 15%, if you look at the USD value it would seem Link is under performing, but the reality is its actually performing very well with a 10% increase.

once it separates from BTC you will be able to track links performance in USD accurately. not today.

Link is prob gonna be between 2-3 EOY unless a tether boost occurs. Then, we go to 5-10 by the end of 2020. We could go higher, but I predict 10 dollars is the limit until mass bleedoffs down to 5 for quite a while.
