never become a bricklayer.

it's miserable.

laying bricks all day in blazing sun or wintery cold with the radio playing mainstream music in the background along with the constant ads trying to get you (a working man) to buy into their garbage like car insurance and other shit i don't fucking care about

guess I'll withdraw all of my many applications to bricklaying companies, detailing all of my esteemed accomplishments in life, and forward them on to Harvard business and law schools instead

hang in there bro it gets better if you stick it out and get respect

dont forget that bricklayers are literally a racket, you know how people say bricklaying "gangs", well it is litererally a gang. you set the prices and you make the demands, if you are self employed and head a bricklaying gang. the only thing which moderates the price is competition, but if there is no competition because people kept having unfortunate accidents with their gear or other unfortunate mishaps, then you dictate the terms of the employment and charge what you can, and you can also take good advantage of the fact that many of your employees have backgrounds in or ties to other actual gangs who can get things done, and if you treat them right and take care of their families they will help you in kind

if you quit now, that's fine, it's understandable. but if you stick with it and break though... you have no fucking idea how wealthy and powerful you can be even if you started from the bottom.

I've been joking to the voices that I'm going to become a bricklayer, not return to university and finish my physics/genetics degree because my schizophrenia hasn't cleared up. When I'm trying to work (learn to program, study chemistry, make a CNC machine or more recently learn to trade cryptos) and they just freak out on me and keep me pinned down for days I threaten them "DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS WHILE LAYING BRICKS, SHITZOPHRENIA, COS THAT'S WHAT WE'LL BE DOING IF YOU DON'T BUCK UP". Thanks for this thread, gave me a laugh.

That music is their coping mechanism.

Put in ear plugs; not ear buds. Because you need to hear the commands to you.

If you got too much of the stupid to maths I think you should stick to where you are at.

Sometimes the music is preferable to hearing the drama they have in their lives. The drama that always happens in their diesel truck degenerate lives.

Over here at St Louis, MO (FEMA Region 7) region they listen to KSHE 95 which is 60% commercials 40% music. Those fags eat that shit up.
