Online learning. Serious stuff. Put 2000 hours into something useful like programming.

what besides programming is useful?? what would you recommend? what specific aspect of programming?

Get yourself to the point where you're able to work with 3d graphics. Then make some crappy demo for your portfolio. Most jobs will be far less complicated than 3d graphics you're qualified

I'm curious, what did you spend your time doing in your 20's and mid 30's?

look at jobs in your area. most likely they are clustered around a few technologies (for me it's node and rails).

pick one and learn it.

>>1532064
this is horrible advice. i've interviewed guys who contributed to opengl but who seriously didn't know the first thing about how servers/the internet/web pages worked. i didn't hire them.

Sorry for hi-jack thread, but want to know this do.
Currently late 20s, finishing high school adult version, few odd jobs here and there, feel like stuck in a loop.

>Where do I start [with programming]
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE STOP ASKING THIS QUESTION

The best way to go about learning programming is to come up with a simple project that you know can be solved with coding. The ask people where to start given the direction.

Best way to learn is by doing. Best way to receive actionable advice is telling people your direction.

Try this, get a raspberry pi to monitor your home's network traffic. You could google tutorials then ask us specific questions when you get stuck. Cheers

it's true. the guy was clearly brilliant but seriously didn't know a damn thing about how web browsers work.

it was honestly the most pleasant interview i ever conducted at that company... but he would have been starting from square one and we had enough junior engineers at that point already.

NEET.
I'm currently occupying a pleb job but I have some free time to learn something valuable and get unstuck.

Can you make 100k with graphic design if you combine it with programming?

Depends where you live, I'm currently working as a programmer at a bank but have extensive experience in 3d graphics and special effects, I left freelance graphic design as the industry is tough to get work in and you need the contacts while I wanted a reliable income

>what skills that I can learn online are the most profitable and I can do it as a freelancer?
the most profitable online business would be casino drugs and prostitution.

>> No.1534707

>>1534630
Actually that's true
There's a supercar collector in my city and no one knows what he's doing
I've tried to find out and found the site of his IT company, without any contact infos!
Later I realized that they develop online casinos and most of their sites are already blacklisted as scams
>mfw everyone loves him because he does fundraisings for charity and hides what he's really doing

Ok, I will rephrase my question:
most profitable skills for a moralfag like me?

>> No.1535110

>>1534707
Now I don't know if this is the MOST profitable thing you can learn to do on your own with just the internet but it's what I did and I'm pretty happy with it. I got chips cheese beans and onions and nuked it for about 80 seconds. Those are really high quality but there are other commodities you could invest in like beef or chicken that would only benefit your portfolio, really take it to the moon.

Can't be expensive.

For everyone: go college (european version, pre uni institute) and learn a trade related to construction; the mraket is flooded with idiots so you theoretically should stand out.
After your 2 year course, either apply to an amazing uni for an engineering course or go straight into work.

Its not easy by any means and youll hate yourself but you will succeed if you have patients and let your ego disappear

This is like what everyone at every company ever is doing. Everyone gets their mcjob, and then go gets their MBA so they can manage people at that mcjob.

Not that I'm not doing similar.
