XEQ is the most promising cryptonote coin rn. dev works on it literally every day and is always pushing commits. it's a neat idea (mint and burn privacy stablecoin) and could generate a lot of hype since private stablecoins don't yet exist. I think it will flip XHV in the medium term, given the histories of both coins.
