Hi Folks,

BigDigi here, for those trading NQ this coming week. Look for continuation of strength after touching the prior Weekly S4 Cam Pivot, now looking to tap the Weekly R3. Look for a touch in the 7775 range prior to Monday cash close on NYSE at 16:15 EST.

Good luck to all trading this week. Have much more detailed charts.

Currently trade: USD,CAD, GBP, EUR, JPY, YM, ES, NQ contracts all on CME.

I think the GE report is full of shit.

Why wait now to release it? If the dude had it and it was true why wait now and not use it when the stock was really in the shat at $7 per last year. He could really caused a big shat storm then.

Dude never worked for GE. So where did his information come from? How valid is it? For all we know he could be using shit that was from way before Culp got hired. Or it could be a report that was drawn up stating a "worst" case plan if GE failed to meet certain milestones.

So you know lots of ways to look at it.

Personally I'd look at GE last year and compared it to now. What have we seen. We've seen the stock go from $6 something to $12 something. We've seen them hire a ceo (Culp) who's got a record for turning shat into diamonds. We've seen them slowly turning the company around back to being profitable. The latest earning report bears this out.

Is GE out of the woods? No but it's in a far better position now than last year.

>> No.15292250

>>15290071

Most of the information is from their filings, either their 10K or from their other financial statements that were prepared on a SAP basis (Statutory Accounting Principles). He said he only started looking at GE because they were originally investigating a separate accounting fraud related to LTC. The information about how he believes they are lying about their LTC comes from industry databases about these contracts, Harry paid to get access to that database.

I read the full report. There are a few things that should have been explained better, because they are simply hard for me to accept. I'm a little confused about how GE owns 50+% of Baker Hughes but doesn't have any voting rights. Really? They bought that much of the company in preferred stock? It appears to be true though, Harry points to a note in their financial statements that says this, they own 50.4 percent in 2018, and they have no voting rights, but they are choosing to consolidate. Pretty sure Harry is right about that, they need to restate their financials.

I think it's true. I don't think GE had any business getting into LTC, and it's actually really strange to me that they did that in the first place. The way I read the report, GE only cared about revenues, and was willing to buy LTC agreements made by corporations, and the other corporations intentionally sold GE their worst agreements, only caring about short term revenue, GE bought them.

I'm seriously considering putting a few thousand on GE put options on Monday.

neutral doesn't necessarily mean sitting in cash, for a legacy COT plot it means (I believe) that there hasn't been any change in net position from the time of the last COT report (one week).
Unless what they are showing in that middle graph is the net position. In this case, neutral still doesn't necessarily mean cash, under current conditions it indicates equal long/short positions

I'd suggest having a basic understanding of how futures work, and an understanding of their use cases: why traders, investors, or other parties would go long or short various futures contracts and when.
Futures basics are actually pretty simple

Don't worry too much about guessing what other parties in the market (any market) are doing in order to make trading decisions about it. That kind of analysis is subjective, you can make up whatever explanation you want... unless you spend a long time understanding the market space and spend all week watching the order books. Then you can really see where and when people are buying and selling. Checking a weekly tally doesn't give enough visibility, it's not data that should be used on its own

I've suggested the CME online futures information before as a good intro, and I will do so again:

I am cautiously optimistic on kohl’s because of the amazon return thing. It’s really easy to go to a store just to return something and end up finding a bunch of shit you want to buy.

Add in the yield, and if they get crushed when they report, that could make for a tempting long.

Probably not volatile enough for a strangle.

Our economy is held up by nothing but an "idea".

Consider: City wide blackout happens. Your basically fucked. Why? Cause everything that deals with currency processing (paying for shit) is now handled by a computer. You can't even pay in cash cause the computer controlled resisters will not work. No way to give change, etc. Wanna go to a hotel to hole up? Can't cause they all require plastic as a way to keep you from skipping out or in case of property damage. Plus again computer cash machines.

Something to think about.

If you want to get absolutely minimum though, set up an automatic transaction that dumps part of each paycheck into a mutual fund. I know Vanguard offers that option; I assume others do as well. These will be after-tax dollars, so you'll probably want to put them in a Roth IRA to avoid paying cap gains on them. You can currently do up to $6k a year like that.

Alternatively, at least with Vanguard, you could set up an automatic transaction to your Federal Money Market settlement fund and use that to buy VOO or VTI, which are essentially the same composition as SPY (SPY and VOO are both S&P 500 Index funds, VTI is the whole stock market but that's 80% S&P 500) but have a lower expense ratio. That ratio is super low for both (.09% for SPY vs .03% for VOO/VTI), so it only really matters for thousands of dollars over decades.

Chinese police find firearms (gun) in Fedex package shipped to China
Chinese media think they are intentionally breaking Chinese law and destabilizing Chinese society according to instruction by American government
Fedex is already under Chinese government investigation on the previous case where they shipped some Huawei document to America "by accident", and Chinese government have also started investigation against Fedex on this firearm case.
Global Times commented that it is so scary for such a lethal weapon to be found in their package and price should be paid for violating Chinese law in such a severe way.
Chinese state media have also say that foreign companies who want to enjoy the market potential of China must respect the Chinese law and authority, otherwise China have already setup the "Unreliable entity list" to enforce restriction against them.

Depends. I'm getting $400 a yr now with my T-babies. I reinvest it (Drip rules). The thing though is Time. The longer you got to work with the more you'll earn. Also buying more shares each year helps loads.

Everyone's different. Me, I like Tax Refund time cause then I get a nice fat lump sum to use. Sure I could dump an amount into it each month and buy here and there but each transaction would cost me $4.95. So by doing it in one go I save money/and or have more to use to buy shares vs paying the fees. The market/share price would have to move up a shitload to cover the 4.95 difference to.

Only thing is VTI is commission free so no fees with it just whatever the price per share is at the time.

Well it has been good to me but only a year ago it was paying out 30 cents per share instead of 100. Since I like living dangerously I haven't read up on how they calculate their dividends and so I'm at risk of losing a lot if they cut back to that level - at which point I assume there will be a massive sell off and corresponding drop in share price. I have a trailing stop loss in place to try to protect myself if that happens.

You need to find out how much the dividend pays. Let's say 5% div at monthly payments. Amount invested / 100 * 5 = amount payed in dividend. Then divide that by 12 for your monthly payments. 5% of 100,000 is 5000, / 12 = 416 a month

I did a trial of his club on an empty giftcard creditcard, I honestly miss the daily rundowns. And when his club makes a buy, you can feel pretty good about buying it a few days later if it dips even lower.

I should've fucking sold DIS when they did, I don't know why I thought I knew better.

EA's largest cash grab by far, great success, but now it's fading. Also
>every

>year
is a hard turn off.
I know some of those games weren't atvi/ea but still, league and minecraft are the only ones to really stand against time so far. Gaming is just a shit industry desu and you shouldn't invest in it.

I'm just giving you the factual statement here: no video game has ever had millions of players for +8 years consistently (minecraft 8 and league 10 now). People just like those games man.

I guess you could say call of duty/fifa holds those numbers too because it's all under the same title, but the above 2 rely solely on updates instead of switching out the game entirely like cod/fifa. That's kinda impressive, don't you think?

I only play ARAMs anymore, and some TFT
all the people I played with years ago back in college haven't logged in for over 2 years
I swear getting old makes almost anyone into an unashamed casual player, or not play video games anymore hehe

not giving tencent or Blizzard any money ever though
also /ourguys/ KT Rolster avoided relegations last night, good for them

Jesus guys I was trying to bring atvi up to see if it is profitable given wow classic is coming out and being back the boomers. Who the fuck care u play game or not, it is whether we can make a profit.

>> No.15307694

I'm saying they cannot reliably make profit.
Out of literally hundreds of thousands of games that have ever been made, only 2 games have real longstanding success. Gaming is a shit industry because games rotate out after a year or two. People get bored.

atvi has a marketcap of 35B
tencent (league of legends) has a 398B mcap. Literally over 10x
msft (minecraft) has a 1T mcap. One fucking trillion.

Do you really think any shit atvi puts out will make them successful as an investment? It's a fucking joke.

so what kinds of spending can we estimate?
I don't play WoW so I have no idea
if you do play, can you guess:
number of players?
median amount each player spends?
sustainability of this revenue stream (is it going to last years, or is it kind of a one-time thing and then it will fizzle out)?

does it have traction in China? Does it have players in EU or South Korea?

1.2mil player base not 100%. 15$ monthly sub. The game will do a rollover a cause of 2 years. Game is international.

assuming 1.2M pay for $15/mo for a straight 2 years, that's 432M revenue. Let's just say they keep all of that revenue. It cost nothing to make wow classic, no taxes, nothing. And then, we just add it to their marketcap.
>35B + 432M = 35B
lol

>> No.15307933

and i just know one of yall is just gonna say
>you don't add revenue to mcap dumbfuck
atvi's average revenue per 6 month period, according to their last 10-Q filing, is 1015M, so 4060M (4B). 432M revenue increase would be about a 10.6% revenue increase. Let's say the stock price rose 10.6% as a result, they now have about a 38B mcap. Better, but league is still 10 times more valuable. It basically had no effect.

again, video games are a shitty investment.

Honestly no reason in particular. I just enjoy SWSSX's capital gains and very low cost. I got SWPPX to match and then SFENX as my random foreign choice. The countries it invests in I see has having solid future potential, especially if I pass a notable amount of my assets to my children/grandchildren. I could see Indonesia/North Africa being added at some point as the Next Eleven economies begin to grow.
