I also enjoyed those years. To a point. But it made my real life suffer. I stopped going to the gym and doing pretty much anything productive with my life because of wow. But eventually it stopped being fun and became like a full time job. You grind the mobs and harvest materials every day for x hours to earn cash, which you need for repairs. And you have to keep playing u less you wanna fall back in progress compared to your guild, or lose your pvp rank. Id say the early game up to lvl 60 is the actual enjoyable time. Full of wonder and exploration. After that, it is designed to be an addictive hellhole.

I played WoW hardcore during Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK - then casually played the rest.

Sure, it was fun - but if you think it'll feel the same you're deluded

Classic will fail because:

>old players will realise it just isn't the same / not the same people you played with and stop playing
>zoomers will think WTF is this because no ADHD raid finder tools etc / flying mounts / etc
>everyone else bored after the novelty wears thin

I just don't see the appeal in doing quests for couple months until you are lvl 60. Tried classic on one private server and honestly it sucked so hard to do shitty quests I didn't even bother play above lvl 20. think it took 2-3 weeks to get there playing few hours a day.
