Solid advice. I don't think a safe is the only viable option, but if that's the route you want to go, it's worth investing in something that a spic with a harbor freight angle grinder can't defeat in 2 minutes or less, especially considering that a safe is a giant red flag to a home invader that you have your most valuable shit contained in that box. I never understood, and still don't, why people cheap out on the one thing people are going to most want to break into! My dad recently told me he put all of his financial information in an old sentry safe from the 80s and put the combo in his will, and I'd only be able to get it when he kicked the bucket. I explained i had no intention of robbing him, but I could be in that safe in five minutes (I cracked it a decade ago for fun as a matter of fact, and at the time he only had some porno VHS tapes, and other assorted bullshit inside.)

well those metal boxes give you from 10 minutes to a few hours on the expensive side. it's better than nothing as they will defeat a wholly unprepared opportunistic burglar but if someone suspects you can have a safe all it gives is a bit of time for a lot of money.

More shit talk from the brainlet in the room. Unless it's a really professional job, if you have a GOOD safe, they aren't getting in. An angle grinder is about the most equipment you'll see a typical home invader show up with, and even then I'd wager a majority of Smash and grabbers don't bring shit to the job besides skittles and Iced tea. If you're willing to spend enough to protect against any conceivable method of attack though, They're not getting in.

You can pick up tubes from any silver dealer, and they'll probably jew you less than Apmex. If I'm buying one ounce rounds I try to buy enough that they package it in the tube, which depending on who you buy from, might not necessarily mean enough to fill it, although I've always bought enough to fill it. I've seen people get tubes thrown in just by ordering half a tube's worth of shit.

Why is silver worth anything?

>> No.15281643

>>15281622
Depending on why you're buying, Tarnish doesn't matter at all. If it's for numismatic reasons it does, but if it's for weight it's irrelevant since tarnish doesn't actually detract from silver content in this case. There are also a number of ways to clean it off if you're especially autistic about it (People are also overly autistic about removing it because they don't understand there are chemical methods that don't remove silver content).

i love mercs and walkers, they are favorites. I am sooo fkn angry i didnt buy a buffalo at 1300 because i was pissy at the $50 premium on them. I like the money changer one as well, but i think it has Illuminati symbolism on the back. Id tell you to just keep stacking low premium generic silver imho. Not a huge fan of junk, its not pure, and refiners have to separate it all out, so its less valuable as a commodity, and more valuable as a collectible.
