Unnecessary expensiveness of repairs for no benefit other than showing off your depreciating asset. The quality of driving can add happiness to your life but the amount is subjective. If you don’t live in a decent size city, you’re likely going to have to drive it far to get oil changes or repairs or maintenance. You can’t do the work yourself even if you know how, no one is going to buy a used luxury car with no service records

Audis are notorious for being dogshit for DIY or even professional mechanics.

What you need to do before you buy a luxury car is to take it to an independent European car mechanic to get it checked over, and ask him just how reliable the model that you're buying is.

Sometimes you can buy gems in the rough. Mercedes and BMW diesels for example are bulletproof because they are made for the European market, not primarily for export.

Driving is a poor financial decision. You are required to lose money on a depreciating asset that also has an opportunity cost not being able to use the initial payment, and subsequent payments (loan/gas/maintenance/taxes/insurance) toward investments.

Driving is for brainlets if you live in a city.

Good luck snagging a GF without a car.

Good luck enjoying any outdoors activities (mountain biking, skiing, hiking, hell even going to state parks) without a car.

Good luck exploring ALL of your city without a car - "But I can get there by public transit!" yeah, and it takes about 3x as long, each way.

Good luck doing any kind of home renovations or repairs without a car to haul stuff to and from the hardware store

Good luck interviewing for any jobs outside of the metro area, and having any hope of eventually moving out of the city without owning a car first.

List goes on. If you don't understand the value of an automobile, you're a brainlet incapable of understanding what an asset actually means.

Cars are inseparable from the full American experience. Only hippies and poorfags believe differently.

Not necessarily. If you're into cars and know your local market you can buy certain used vehicles and sell them on a few years down the road for as much if not more that what you paid for them. Admittedly this is an American thing and not applicable to commuter cars. I've owned 4 cars since I started driving and at worst have sold the cars for what I paid for them.

Of course that isn't taking into consideration the cost of maintenance, insurance, etc but I'd still take that route over having my wallet raped by depreciation.

Right, but "you'll get a gf whether or not you have X" can be said about literally ANYTHING that increases your value as a man. Having a car makes it much, much easier and greatly widens your potential dating pool.

if you're handsome and not autistic...

"you'll get a gf whether or not you have a home"
"you'll get a gf whether or not you have a job"
"you'll get a gf whether or not your parents are divorced"
"you'll get a gf whether or not you dress well"
"you'll get a gf whether or not your parents are divorced"

etc etc. Why play on hard mode for no reason? It's your life - you should be doing everything you can to ensure you have the highest chance of success in your endeavors.
