If it is announced, it was probably meant to be called the Chainlink Foundation initially, but because the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance caught on, they chose to mirror their name instead later down the line. As for Web3, this is a more public-oriented event than Fluidity, with an even larger audience, potentially. Plus big names such as Stallman and Snowden will be speaking as well. I'd say based on these, it's a 50/50 chance the LARP is real and something is announced, but don't get your hopes up.
