No. Europeans aren't mentally prepared for recolonization, mostly because of the hegemony of the United States.

You'd sooner see a Chinese colony in Sub-Saharan Africa than a European one.

Consider this though: Africa as a percentage of the world population during the age of colonization in the 19th and early 20th century was much, much lower than their percentage now. Meanwhile, many in Europe had an excess of a population.

People will say this is not possible but it actually kind of is. Maybe not strictly in these specific terms, but something along the lines of white settlers in Southern Africa.

Its becoming very apparent with the intensifying trade war and seemingly imminent invasion of Hong Kong that the next decade is going to be defined by the struggle between an emergent China and the USA (who will eventually arm twist its usual "friends" along for the ride). Note that of Trump, Biden and Warren it is actually Trump who is the least hawkish, so I dont think the 2020 election will matter in this regard. The die has been cast for this struggle for a while now and the strain on the relationship is likely irreparable at this point. I'm not saying there will be a shooting war, but at the very least we are due a cold war situation where China and the US antagonize each other.

China has been heavily involved in Africa for decades and they have kind of been left to it. That's going to change, in some ways it already is. The truth is mainland China is short on a lot of strategic minerals and resources, and they have relied heavily on Australia and Africa to make up for this. It just wont continue, the USA is going to start cutting them off from these things if for no other reason than to fuck with the Chinese. But a lot of African governments are basically bought and paid for by China itself of closely aligned "interests" who have been investing heavily in infrastructure (and bribes, duh) in exchange for rights to these resources.

So expect the CIA to be way more involved in Africa starting in the next eighteen or so months. Two million Zimbabweans are currently starving, so that seems like a natural first place for the Yanks to destabilize. Would they really be as bold to install a Rhodesian regime to align itself with? Who knows. If you would've told me ten years ago Britain was leaving the EU and Trump was the American president you would've been laughed at. Anything is possible.

Well you're playing a little fast and loose with the demographics here. Not ALL whites are having fewer kids and if you start filtering for things like urban vs. rural, income and religious background you start seeing specifically who is having children (and who isnt). The kind of people willing to settle somewhere else are the type of people who have big families.

it would take a fairly large mercenery army, not for conquest as i imagine you could gain the land by purchasing it, but by retaining control of said land and protecting it against more or less organized immigration/invaders from neighboring blacks.
the good news is that mercenaries are on the rise, the usage of mercenaries are steadily increasing, particular because of the US usage of them.
in 10-20 years, then it is very likely that you could actually hire an army to control a territory.
