My older brother is like this, minus the diapers and shitting. My mother is now 60+ and has been taking care of his every need for as long as I've been alive. She's probably on the brink of killing herself, and when it happens I'm guessing my NEET brother will expect me to pick up where she left off.
The twist? I'm going to let him die miserably on the street dead broke. I get the house, I have savings, I worked hard; I'm not going to help the person directly responsible for my mothers death.

I can't image how nuts my mother would be if I left.
Take it from me: I'm still quite young, but I could easily be extremely independent. I've always been very independent. However, my mother's parents died when she was quite young. I understand that family is important to her and that she may very well need me more than I need her.
Yes, this likely seems lazy, but I've never viewed it as anything other than compassionate. Sure, I'm probably just a piece of shit, but I can guarantee you this isn't the reason.
