How do you value a ledger?

>bitcoin, litecoin, etc are just names of different ledgers governed by different rules

What if you knew for sure the dollar amount of the future demand for that ledger?

>there will be $1B of demand for the bitcoin ledger in 2020
>$1.5B of demand for that ledger in 2021
>$2.0B of demand in 2022 etc.

Then you add it up and say bitcoin is worth $5.5B because there will be that much demand for it.

How do you think about it?
