This actually started as a chink scam with a team that did not know how to code.
Then some white dude (yeah only one) thought the idea was novel and power coded for 4 months to create this with the team giving him a massive pile of tokens.
That is what you are buying , open source code that one dude did in 4 months. If you believe that this will actually replace eth and become a new standard of some kind then by all means throw money in the pot.
I for one think that all the big web players are in the eth alliance and are onboarding Enterprise clients allready , eth will scale and FTM will be a footnote in the blockchain history books.
