I dumped all my alts today, $40k of burden.

I still think dApps are cool and bitcoin is, in reality, a technically overcome tool for rich traders and nothing they hoped for.
I'm a computer science guy - and I mean not a programmer - so this is a sad state of affairs. But if the market effect wills it so, so be it. Let me sit in BTC for a while.

Dapps are cool and all but not even close to the level of Bitcoin and the network behind it. It is the most secure store of value conceived by man. Ethereum is good for some ponzies. There's a difference.

I genuinely don't feel bad for these die hard one alt coin holders if they would just spend one week learning how charts work and that every single fucking coin is influenced by bitcoins market dominance and price

It doesn't matter how great your shitcoins technology is or who's behind it traders don't care they just care about speculation and public appeal capitalizing on fomo etc

To be honest, there are only two alts worth keeping an eye. Just one of those two will succeed as fungible digital cash with CT.

The best insult is knowing they came so close to making the right decision at such a pivotal time but threw it all away by """""investing""""" in total shitcoins.

I'd almost feel bad for them if they hadn't been such smug faggots and degrading bitcoin as old tech or a boomer coin. It feels absolutely fantastic seeing these shitcoin chasing faggots getting bled out slowly day in and day out.

>I'm a computer science guy - and I mean not a programmer
If you're "not a programmer", how can you be "a computer science guy"?

Do you mean you're "not one of those barely-self-trained code monkeys" but rather "a real formally educated fully trained computer science degree-holder"?

Or do you mean "I'm magic, I just do math, I never learned practical skills"?

Dapps are an interesting concept, but I haven't seen any really useful real-world purposes for them. And Ethereum is a complete shitshow, what with Vitalik bouncing off the walls like a hummingbird on crack, deciding to make huge changes in direction based on "gee that would be neat if we did that instead!"

The problem with all but perhaps three or four alts is that they just take Bitcoin, make some trivial hypertechnical change that no one other than a computer scientist would understand, and then they LARP like it's the greatest thing evaaaar that will totes replace that outmoded relic Beetcorn any second now at the speed of magic internet money!!! When the reality is, the change doesn't make a goddamned bit of difference to anyone in the real world, and it's just a couple of scammers trying to do a cash grab.

As far as real-world usability of dapps, (1) even a stupid game about virtual cats brought Ethereum to its knees, and (2) you can't plan for the long-term future with Vitalik constantly changing things up just for the fucking fun of it.

This really. "OMG IOTA USES A DIGRAPH SO IT CAN DO IOT STUFF!" Who gives a rat's ass? Why do I want my toaster to be connected to the internet in the first place? Do I really want my doorbell spying on me? Why in the name of Tim Berners Lee do I want my lawn sprinklers messaging the city that I broke the law by watering on an odd-numbered day? Why would I want my refrigerator to be auto-ordering more bacon and eggs just before I go on vacation? and what if it decides to force me to eat """healthy"""" shit like tofu?

But more importantly, how exactly does using a digraph make it more powerful and more suited to IOT than, say, Ethereum or Bitcoin Lightning Network? Do I really want to give IOT devices, which have a shit reputation for security (backdoors, unchangeable default passwords, spyware that sends data to China), the ability to engage in financial transactions on my behalf?

So it's a premined shitcoin that isn't even being traded yet, and you're claiming it's "rising"?

>altpocalypse

You mean Shitcoinpocalypse. Link is still beating your ass daily grandpa. You know the funnier thing, despite bleeding for 6 weeks straight we are only back to the price point we were when pic related was made. Go check kek, 27th of June, price was same as it is today. The last 6 weeks of dumping only managed to take away 3 days of gains from Link's 2 month long bullrun kek.

An'd were starting another bullrun in 2 weeks. Better get your ass ready for maximum damage.

>LINK is done dumping
Way too premature. Check EOS in June 2018. It pumped just as hard as LINK so much so that r/ethtrader lost their shit. Its following the exact same pattern. The coinbase hype is gone.

>> No.15177297

>>15177258
If web3 is a nothing burger, then extend the dump for another 4 weeks maybe 5 max. But that's it. And it wont be so much a dump as a very slow minor bleed, it might hit $2 again, then it would bounce up 20 cents, then it will spend another week bleeding down again etc. It's an accumulation phase. We are very near the bottom.

After September, Link may not be a speculative asset that needs hype anymore. The fucking moment staking happens. No amount of dumping or FUD will keep this down. Link is a compressed spring right now and it's ready to pop off big time.
