Read the article, its the fact of borrowing and spending that was strange to me, not the fact that he poured all in army etc but the fact that he rebuilt industry from ash and managed to keep life affordable for the worker class

You know it is usual for socialist countrys to have low unemployment. It was the same in the DDR. Only differenz was the nationalistic part. And with that the industrial branches that got favoured.
