The trend is obvious. People are tired of centralized control and moving to decentralized solutions:

• Bitcoin decentralized central banking and fiat control
• Decred decentralized governance
• Augur decentralized prediction markets
• Sentinel decentralized the centralized bandwidth and VPN markets
• Blockstack decentralized computing networks and app ecosystems
• Kyber decentralized liquidity pools and centralized exchanges

Which decentralized projects will gain unprecedented market share in the next two years? Which ones will be the most profitable?

What I love to see is P2P resource sharing that only blockchain allows. A true first in human transactional history. Sentinel is my favourite project that actually allows P2P bandwidth sharing to use a decentralized VPN to stay secure and private online. I think the DVPN market will be worth billions of dollars as the world realises the flaws of centralized VPNS and that they are selling people’s data and colluding with malicious third parties. Sent could actually a good investment imo because they are dvpn leaders and the more throughput on the network the more the token value will go up - simple supply and demand economics. well if you look at the internet, everything is being centralized by the massive tech companies, Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon are either buying out or suppressing all competitors, soon they will simply censor any competition from their services.

I like Komodo over Kyber, but Decred and SENT are good decentralization projects. A good book on this trend is The Sovereign Individual. Should be mandatory reading for /biz/

its possible with interoperability between blockchains, blockstream does it through a federated peg, tendermint hubs will do it through multisig owned by validators.
bitcoin will have all the capabilities of any other chain after IBC from tendermint launches.
it will have smart contracts and privacy.
we are about to enter in an even more bitcoin centric ecosystem.
the biggest gainers from this coming trend are projects that are adapting fast and understand that there is more benfit in becoming bitcoin sidechains insteaad of fightning bitcoin like ethereum brainlets do

The most successful projects will be the ones that ease adoption and use instead of forcing native platform tokens to be used. SENT is doing it right by not having to buy SENT to pay for dVPN, but the token still has value by being used to collect fees by securing & validating the network.
