Awful thread mate

Linkpool distributes tokens once every 2 weeks. Up until now LP has only had the ETH heartbeat as an income. The heartbeat "beats" once every five minutes. They recieve 0.3333 link every beat. 14 day 24 hours a day. Equals 1344 link every two weeks. Notice the distribution on the 14th Jul. Now look at the 29th Jul distribution. 1371. Not much of a difference. 25 Link. But it shows that LP is running another contract. The big question is which one?

I get around .5 link every 2 weeks. With btc that volume should double. 1 link every 2 weeks, that's 26 link a year. That's with negligible adoption.
How does peak network use compare? 1000x? 10000x? What we have right now is nothing compared to the end state.

No I mean in eth. Right now 1LP cost quite a bit of ETH, as soon as LINK moons im guessing that price will rise a lot.

Absolutely. The heartbeat is just the first phase. We should see a continual upward amount of link rewards in the future. Its pretty exciting to see this (admittedly) first small incremental increase.

I spent a fortune to get a $48 return per year.

I agree. The end state could be quite amazing. However, I don't think anyone is able to accurately predict final rewards at the moment. Even though I know a lot of folks have tried.
THere are just too many variables.
How many people will use NAAS?
How will the marketplace function?
What will be the total number of link staked?
I could go on and on.

With current prices? I'd say 2021 minimum. The network is starting to be built under a trust approach, they are getting on board the most trusted entities in the ecosystem. When people see Truffle (Microsoft), Keiko (AWS), Coinbase, 50 startups sponsored by ORACLE running their own node along with LinkPool, the official Chainlink node and FIEWS, the network effect will increase. Linkpool is very well positioned imho. NEET nodes will eventually take a piece of the cake, but way after big boys' nodes have consolidated its position

Possibly, but i thought the drops were related to a smart contract that fired every 2 weeks. I agree if the drop was initiated manually then this could explain the differences.
