SENT is way bigger than any of us thought.
I did some research and anyone staking SENT on the Sentinel hub will get part of all the transaction fees going through the Sentinel hub.
Why would anyone want to send their transactions through Sentinel?
Because Sentinel is the privacy layer of Cosmos, anyone using Cosmos that wants to have anonymous transactions/services etc has to go through Sentinel.
Cosmos is a "internet of blockchains" which means that it will connect a lot of blockchains.
By default any coin, BTC, ETH, NANO etc that doesn't have a privacy layer can now get that with the help of Sentinel hub. Fees can be paid in any accepted currency on the Sentinel hub so staking SENT can give you BTC, ETH etc.

You will also be able to pay for the dVPN in any accepted currency and staking SENT will also give you transaction fees of these payments.

Thanks OP I am researching SENT too, but haven't gotten to the token economics yet. This saved me some time.

Seems like the right way to do it - end users don't need SENT tokens to use the dVPN and the node hosts can accept any coin as payment.

SENT has value since the token it is used to secure the network and in demand because you will receive a percentage of all transactions and fees from the hub.

On the cosmos networks there are currently 3 hubs, Cosmos, Iris and Sentinel.
Within hubs there are zones (dapps, services, coins etc) and each of these goes through their main Hub, so anyone wanting to build a privacy or wanting to send a private transaction has to go through the Sentinel hub.
Staking SENT means that you will be a delegator and get a part of every fee paid on the Sentinel hub.
So that accounts for anyone doing a transaction, using a service, using a fall (as long as these include transactions of some sort)
And the currency that they use doesn't have to be SENT either, they could for example pay for dVPN (one of sentinels dapps) in Bitcoin and you as a SENT stakeholder (Delegator) will then get part of the fee in bitcoin.

So if someone would want to build an anonymous/private Twitter they would do it on the Sentinel hub, and there by you'd get a split of each fee everytime there is a transaction occuring on this anonymous Twitter dapp.

In BPoS 2/3 voting power needs to be compromised, not 51%. Also, staking tokens are supposed to be only staked, that's why there is inflation in place for those not staking.

sentinel allows any coin to be used in the network thanks to its native dpos tendermint chain.
