ok,k i have 0.048 eth and want to sell some quant on there. i'm conecting with my ledger and i can see my eth balance on there etc fine,. do i need to deposit the eth into my idex account before i can deposit the quant?

Don't use IDEX or any "decentralized" service that requires KYS.

after you initate any sort of transaction that involves metamask, you have to sign the transactions.
this means once you initate a deposit, a buy or a sell, you will need to open metamask while you see the spinny loady thing in the middle of your screen and confirm your signature with metamask.

Update - spoke to livechat who said to log in using incognito mode on browser, refresh and choose a lower amount of qnt to deposit which would then ask to force prev deposit to go thru. Did that and it worked. No idea why had to do incognito mode but all fine in the end. Site drives me nuts, but the l/chat were awesome

That they assume central control only to take a percentage for access to a basic contract is bad enough. There is no reason to use IDEX except that people are already using it. The more central control people tolerate under the label of decentralization the more useless crypto becomes and the price will reflect that. Using IDEX is undermining the only value crypto brings to the table.
