I think it's a mistake to focus on privacy it's an option available with REN however interop is the key piece. Ultimately the value of Ren is easily derived by how much volume you think the Network can process per year as REN offers a cash flow model for the node holder. Lending , dexs NFTe stos etc can flow through REN. How big is that DeFi market is the question?

The interesting thing and it was mentioned in one of the interviews that some don't realize....privacy and interoperability are really the same problem. You cannot have true interoperability without the ability to trustlessly generate private keys on other chains in zero-knowledge.

Ren's focus on perfecting privacy lead them to also be the solution to interoperability kind of by accident.

I suspect other devs will build on RenVM all manner of applications that we cannot even imagine yet. Exciting times ahead!

I'm no expert on Kyber but my understanding is that they are more about providing liquidity reserves and Eth-only swaps (But this can include things like wrapped bitcoin.)

Ren and Kyber are partners and they intend to work together. I actually really really like Kyberswap but don't know all the nuts and bolts of liquidity providing and tokenomics. Ren tokenomics is much easier to grasp.

Actually the ICO was sold out almost instantly. The first round had a limit of 2.5 ETH if I recall correctly. the rest of the ICO was opened up with and was bought two big transactions, one with thousands of dollars in gas.
