Tell me, in your own words and not the Chainlink Debate Manual’s, how lots of decentralized oracles verifying the same singular source of information helps prove the reliability of that information. I don’t expect much from you because you can’t even notice the difference between centralized funds and centralized service.

Why would u have 1 source? In what world wouldnt you have multiple databases being queried? 1 point of failure is a sign that you are brain dead and dont work in IT or have any capacity to comment.

>Why would u have 1 source? In what world wouldnt you have multiple databases being queried?

Gee I dunno, in worlds where there is only one source for information? The source being the actual origin? Flight information comes solely from the airline, crash diagnostics from your SmartCukk electric car come solely from your car. The performance of a company’s stock comes solely from the NYSE. The weather in your native New Dheli comes solely from 1 weather station.

Engage your brain you dumbfuck linkie, all of you are reading off scripts. You’re not even talking about the same thing anymore. Imagine being this confidently stupid. The vast majority of information to be fed into smart contracts if ever is single-source. Fucking mongoloid, you don’t know anything about tech, just like every other bagholder trying to distort reality to believe otherwise. I bet you didn’t even sell a single shitcoin at $4.50.

Single source data that needs to make it on chain will also use chainlink, because it will be the standard oracle service. Rather than contract devs learning 20 different blockchain platforms, they'll only need to learn one.
>inb4 deluded linkie
It's already happening you dumb fag. Every other day a new blockchain or blockchain service partners with link. Link is already the standard oracle service. All that is left now is for the industry to grow, and it will.

It does not prove veracity of data, it exists so we can be sure that the data is not tampered with as it is linked to the blockchain to trigger smart contracts.

>it IS the standard service si- I mean guy

Repeating it does not make it so. What fucking ‘standard’? You don’t even have your fabled ‘decentralized oracles’ yet. At this very moment nobody is utilising your shitwork’s platform, so please tell me how it became a ‘standard’. We both know nobody will be ‘learning’ 20 different platforms because they all, starting soon will be following standardised communication protocols for interoperability. You don’t even know that enterprise API aggregation already exists, you don’t even know that Oracalize, Delphi and Augur are already in the game. I don’t give a shit about any oracle in general because they’re buzzword memes and won’t be used until at least another 6 years from now minimum. No, you’re not getting in early.

Adding something in the middle, from source to input location, to make things SAFER? Do you know anything about programming? Even a little? Why introduce a network with inherent vulnerabilities to make sure nothing for some reason happens to your data on the way?

It is indeed tiresome. I enter a thread, make linkies cry, 15 minutes later Damage Control Unit shows up after a quick prep talk in the ChainLink Discord to discuss how to shield the drooling retards on /biz/ from the truth and maintain bagholders to secure the shitwork. Then I remind you that your devs are duping tokens, your CEO is a philosophy grad and isn’t a tech graduate, you’re based out the Caymens where the SEC can’t rape you and you barred Americans from the ICO which raised 32 million dollars while doing nothing in 2 years because your shitty idea is so weak that Chainlink secured 0 (ZERO) venture capital money from anyone with half a brain.

Scenario:
I work in a pathology laboratory; Melbourne Pathology. Now the machines are worth millions of dollars, However the data from these machines is stored on hard drives. The hard drives only a few Tb's and every few weeks the machines need to be wiped. Now why can't we store this data on the cloud?, Because patient data is so important that it cannot be trusted on any cloud computing platform. Now lets say a decentralised oracle system can connect our existing systems to Google cloud?, I wonder how much time and money this would save.

The standard oracle service. Did i stutter? Eventually as blockchain tech begins creeping into the market share of finance, arbitration, insurance, and other industries where contractual enforcement is necessary, link will become the standard for not only oracles, but a standard for data retrieval in general.
>We both know nobody will be ‘learning’ 20 different platforms because they all, starting soon will be following standardised communication protocols for interoperability.
We both do know this, but apparently we disagree on what exactly that standardised protocol will be.

Exactly. You need a SAN or something, wiping this data after the fact, if it's useful beyond just results for a specific patient, should be illegal. In fact, you should be able to provide this data to anyone that asks for it. What do you in fact store, a summary?
