C-can I just wear a polo shirt or a longsleeve button down untucked, some slacks, and nice shoes to an interview if I'm just going to be a dishwasher in a lab? The only long-sleeve button down looks goofy as fuck when it's tucked in. Tucking in shirts looks fucking gay and I feel less confident because of it. I also feel less confident being forced to wear my hair in a ponytail/shaving instead of being myself.

Typically(by burger standards), when doing anything that involves sterilization or food that's fit for human consumption, it's a requirement to be well kept in terms of body and head hair. That means long hair must be tied back and/or under a hat, and facial hair that exceeds 4-5cm be hair-netted. My hair is almost half a meter long, it's a pain in the ass to have while working. Just tie that shit up neatly (or get a good looking haircut if it's not long enough), shave if your facial hair is unruly, wear (something semi-formal) that you feel most comfortable in and get that job man. Hair will grow back.

Except hair takes 3 years to grow back to below shoulder blade length. This is for a lab, I've done plenty of lab shit just fine with long hair. It's easy, I just pop that bitch up with a hair clip. Tying hair is bad for your hair + it causes you to go bald. I only wear it down or put up with a hair clip.

I'd just being preparing buffers, making media, cleaning, and data entry.
