Working on a tax spreadsheet for brainlets who ask this question. At 4.6k link, if you were to cash out and live off interest, assuming 2% interest (current interest rates are around 2.5% so I am being conservative) your yearly salary of just interest would be ~70k a year pre tax. Interest earnings don't pay FICO (medicare, social security) so your effective tax rate would probably be around 15%, maybe less.

You can do the math on that and decide if that is "making it" or not. Keep in mind this is assuming the worst case scenarios, you cash out instead of staking and your interest rate is well below the average of today. Staking rewards will be higher than saving account interest.
