SWIFT's proposed system still doesn't address that it depends on nostro vostro accounts. They aren't really "sending" the value from account A to account B, they are just extending credit until the transfer settles. Their 13 second transfer is akin to sending a message across the internet.

"Oh wow, guise, I just found out I can send an email and it arrives in 2 seconds!!!" -- SWIFT better watch out!

XRP allows to SETTLE in 3 seconds. HURR DURR.

SWIFT is demonstrating their proof-of-concept system for these nearly instant cross border payments at Sibos, end of September. They are using Chainlink to send the swift messages. We're all gonna make it. $1000eoy is fud.
