It's atomic swap, meaning it goes from one address directly to another. There is no third party custody so according to sec guidance it's rules do not apply. The transfer takes as long as the respective blockchain's blocktimes dictate. Lightning works fine on Stakenets Beta release of their Multi currency lightning wallet.
Just need to sort any potential bugs, which are minor, and it's ready to the public.

Look at Komodos marketcap, and compare it Stakenets marketcap. Which one has the most upside potential?
Don't get me wrong, Komodo is a decent project, but nobody is going to use a DEX with atomic swaps. No one has the patience to day trade waiting for confirmation times and all that bullshit.
It's either instant transactions, or people will use a centralized exchange for convenience.
Stakenet will do a video comparing the two soon as far a I know, which hopefully will open people's eyes to the possibilities of Stakenet and lightning in general

Lightning will grow exponentially with the release of the Stakenet multi currency wallet. The problems BTC has seen scaling it with lightning isn't an issue with the setup Stakenet made utilizing it over masternodes instead.

Hacking happens to cex's very often. They not only get the btc but likely also your kyc info. personal address, crypto addresses. If you got big enough bags your info could be sold to people who specialize in resource extraction. Cex's are for kids with nothing to lose.
